With her expertise and gentle approach, she ensures that both you and your canine companion feel comfortable and confident throughout the training process.
We also understand that life can get hectic, and finding time for training can be challenging. That’s why we offer three distinct training options designed to accommodate your busy schedule while still providing top-notch training for your furry friend. Whether you prefer the immersive experience of our Boarding Academy, the flexibility of our Day Academy, or the personalized attention of our In-Person Training Sessions, we have a solution that fits your lifestyle. With our range of options, you can choose the training format that works best for you and your dog, making it easier than ever to prioritize their training and well-being amidst your busy schedule.
Scheduling Options
Boarding Academy: This option is ideal for busy pet owners looking for immersive training for their furry companions. During their stay with us for 1-4 weeks, your dog will receive dedicated training sessions from Julia. This option allows for focused and consistent training, ensuring rapid progress. Additionally, each stay includes daily email updates with pictures and an exit session with Julia to discuss your dog’s progress and techniques to maintain their newfound skills. For 2-4 week stays, weekly virtual update sessions are also included to ensure you know how your dog is progressing.
Day Academy: If you prefer a more flexible approach, our Day Academy might be the perfect fit. Your dog will spend the day with us, participating in training sessions tailored to their needs, and then return home in the evening. This option is great for pet owners with busy schedules who still want their dogs to receive quality training and socialization. Day Academy packages also include daily email updates with pictures and an in-person update session every 5th hour of training to help you understand the training principles and continue the learning at home. Day Academy is available in 5 and 10 day packages. Have a very active dog? We can add-on daycare services such as pack play or individual exercise and enrichment activities.
In-Person Training Sessions: For pet owners who favor a more hands-on approach, we offer in-person training sessions where you and your dog work directly with Julia. These sessions provide personalized guidance and immediate feedback in a one-on-one setting. Whether you’re looking to address specific behavior issues or fine-tune obedience commands, Julia will tailor the sessions to meet your dog’s individual needs. These sessions are available in hourly increments and can be scheduled according to your convenience.
Training Levels
Pet Manners and Obedience
- Foundations of Communication: This is our starting course, focusing on basic pet skills and fundamental understanding of dog behavior and learning.
- Primary Pet Skills 101: Building upon the foundational skills, this level introduces more advanced commands and behaviors in moderate distractions.
- Intermediate Pet Skills 202: Further advancing your dog’s skills in increasingly distracting environments and situations, with a focus on advanced calming techniques.
Dogs are evaluated after each 5 hours of training and can progress at their own pace through the levels. For example, if your pup is excelling at some of the skills, they can progress in those and keep building on the deficient skills. For owners and dogs with previous training experience, Julia will work with you to start your pup at the appropriate level.
Pet Behavior Plus
- A hybrid course that combines progression through pet manners training with addressing 1-2 minor behavior issues your dog may have.
Behavior Modification Program
- Specifically designed and individually tailored for dogs dealing with major behavior issues such as anxiety, reactivity, conflicts between housemates, and resource guarding.
